23 Mar 10 - Apple accused Taiwanese company HTC for stealing their technology for the iPhone and filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission. Apple has 20 iPhone related patents to its credit and according to Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs, these are being infringed by HTC.

The patents correspond to iPhone GUI as well as the software and hardware design of the widely popular Smartphone.

Apple demands injunction that would mean that HTC will no longer be able to import and sell its products in the United States. HTC seems unaware of the accusations and was surprised at the legal action taken by Apple.

It is noteworthy that Apple has emerged as a leader in the mobile market. Served by a list of innovative applications that help iPhone users to communicate, learn and stay entertained round the clock, Apple is already enjoying a leading position in the crowd of Smartphones.
