The first mobile event site for EO Nerve was built in WordPress in 2011. The 2011 version featured following functionalities & sections -

  • Schedule
  • Speakers
  • After Hours
  • Hotels
  • NYC links, and
  • Feedback

In 2012, we wanted to sport some new and advanced features like -

  • We added some new tabs, like -
    • Committee
    • Local
    • Updated Status, and
  • User would be able to click on twitter icon and would navigate to the Twitter profile created for an event.
  • User would be able to click on facebook icon and would navigate to the profile for the event created in Facebook

Down here we have elaborated on individual features that is included in the mobile event site of EO Nerve for 2012:

  1. Schedule:

The admin adds the schedule of the event, which can be viewed by visitors and participating members anytime from their mobile devices. While only admin can modify the schedule, others can view schedule for current/future events as well as past event list.

  1. Speakers:

The site will redirect to a page sporting the information about various speakers of the event to be held between19th to 21st April, 2012. When a user will click on "Speakers" tab, a detail page opens up listing all the speakers. The "read more" link below each speaker name takes to another detail page about individual speaker; while the "feedback" button redirects to the feedback page. This section is also managed by the admin of the site and he/she can add, edit, and delete speakers or information about speakers listed on the site.

  1. Committee:

Committee has the details about the people holding the prestigious positions in the organization. Apart from the information about the chairs they hold, the email IDs of committee members as well as the countries they represent has also been given.

  1. Local:

The event is going to happen at the Loews Hotel in downtown Atlanta, and the local tab takes the users to the detail page of venue. There is a URL given clicking upon which a map will pop up helping the users with route to the venue. Additional help topics like "Walking Excursions", "Cab Excursions", Driving Excursions", "Other Activities at the Zoo" etc. are also made available on this section.

  1. Update Status:

Users would be able update their Twitter and Facebook status messages through the site. They need to login with their Facebook or Twitter IDs to access this facility. When a user updates a status from m.eonerve.com, a link of the event also gets posted with the status.

  1. Feedback:

The feedback section is for adding feedback about the event programs. There are separate feedback forms respective to the ongoing activity and users can update and submit information on these forms.

Alike the 2011 version, the 2012 mobile event site has also been given a robust look and feel. This is an extremely user friendly mobile site, quick to load and with smooth navigation. It works well on all popular platforms including iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7 and BlackBerry.
