Client Brief

Kitply Industries is a wholesale distributor of hardware and plywood, serving cabinet manufacturers and designers. They offer over 20,000 products, including shop supplies, wood components, and specialty hardware. Kitply Industries approached us to add products manually through a script and make it visible on their live website.

Our Endeavor

The client wanted a cost-effective way to add products to their website because their existing method using a third-party CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) was too expensive. They asked us to create a manual script that would allow them to upload products directly without extra costs.

Our team developed a manual script using VueJS, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL while working with the client's existing system. Previously, the client used INXSQL (a tool for managing inventory and sales data) but decided to switch to a manual script due to cost concerns. To ensure everything worked smoothly, our team first tested by adding product details directly into the database. After multiple attempts, we successfully displayed the correct product information on the website.

The biggest challenge was dealing with multiple databases and tables, including one table with over 100 columns. It was difficult to figure out how to add products manually without errors.

With this new script, the client no longer needs an expensive third-party CRM to add products. Now, their admin can upload products manually, saving costs and making the process faster and easier.
