Xamarin App Development for Australian Mining Industry - Contractor locator

Client Brief

The Australian client is a services provider in coal mining industry. The client approached SynapseIndia to develop an application that helps in real-time tracking of mine contractors or employees.

Our Endeavor

Our IT experts built a brand new application, Contractor locator, with the help of Xamarin technology. We deployed it on Azure to maintain smooth functioning. Using the app, the manager can log in to track the contractor's location in real-time while a contractor can log in to mark their attendance. We designed a very user-friendly layout and integrated the following functionalities -

• Reset password: It allows users to get an auto-generated password on their email ID.
• Contractor/Employee: It displays the location of all the employees/contractors in real-time by using Google Maps API. We implemented Geofencing in the app that tracks the location until the worker is present in the fixed area of the mine. Once the worker goes out of the area, the app will no longer track the location and will mark the user as checked out for the day.
• Send Announcement: It allows the manager to send alerts to all the employees/contractors who are using the app.
• View Attendance: It allows the manager to view the attendance of all the employees/contractors by selecting the date.
• Announcement history – It helps the employees/contractors to check all the previously received alerts in a list format.
