The goal was to enhance the overall functionality and design while making the shopping experience smoother for users. The project required rebuilding the store on a stable platform, improving its performance, and adding advanced features to support business growth. The client also wanted better control over content, product listings, and marketing tools. The new version of the site needed to handle a large product range efficiently and integrate multiple payment gateways for global customers.
Judaica Web Store is an eCommerce website that offers a wide range of Israeli and Jewish products. We redeveloped the entire site using Magento, integrating all necessary modules and systems to make it a complete online store. Our team worked on enhancing the platform structure, improving backend management, and refining the customer shopping experience while keeping the design simple and user-friendly.
We developed a feature allowing the creation of new white label stores within the same platform. This gave the admin flexibility to open and manage multiple branded stores under a unified system without the need for separate setups or maintenance efforts. It made the business easier to expand and manage.
A major part of the work involved enhancing the product sorting system. We created a mechanism that allows products to be sorted based on multiple factors such as sales numbers, prices, and best-selling status. This helped visitors find popular products faster and allowed the admin to control sorting priorities as needed.
We also implemented a banner management feature for the home page, allowing the client to easily update and manage promotional banners. A blog management system was added to support the publication of engaging content, updates, and promotional posts directly from the admin panel.
To simplify the migration process, we developed a custom script that helped import existing products, categories, customers, and orders that were not initially compatible with Magento. This ensured a smooth transfer of previous data into the new system without affecting accuracy or structure.
Additional modules were integrated to enhance user interaction and marketing activities. These included newsletter template management, Google Tag Manager, and review extensions. Follow-up email automation was also implemented to help maintain customer engagement and improve return visits.
We added a Product Matrix Shipping module that simplified shipping rate calculations based on product combinations and destinations. This feature improved the checkout experience and reduced errors in shipping cost estimations.
For secure and convenient transactions, we integrated multiple payment options, including PayPal, Amazon Checkout, and Google Checkout. These payment gateways provided flexibility for customers and increased overall trust and convenience while completing purchases on the site.
