Client Brief

The client is the founding director of Designbar. The website designbar.com is an information and advisory website for the design industry. The client put emphasis on various aspects like design, spacing, layout, colour, balance, continuity of style etc. in every area and on every page. The site navigation had to be very easy.

Our Endeavor

The website caters to users of various categories such as resources, education, events, public (normal users). The resources, education and events category of users ("Members") can post details of their products & services on the website. There is a separate quarter also i.e. the designbar shopping site. In addition to the shopping cart, we have built a Wish List area where registered user can save products for later buying. Designbar sells only those products that fit the designbar aesthetic. Not all products submitted by the members are approved. Members cannot sell products online through their member pages, however Members are encouraged to submit their product proposals online, by post or email, for designbar to assess. Designbar also has an area for Questions and Answers. Here members can post queries and share views with people visiting the site. We developed the Administration panel. This console manages the orders, users, subscription, products on display in the shopping section and updates the news and other content for the four quarters.
