The client approached us with his already developed ecommerce site, and wanted us to integrate a handful of APIs on it.
Myshopspin.com is an ecoomerce site, available in beta version as of now that sells a variety of products like electronics and computer peripherals, women/men fashion accessories, automotive and industrial tools and more. Three different APIs that is Doba, Google and Commission junction needed to be integrated. Using these APIs, products will be retrieved and displayed on the home page that visitors can explore and buy. Only Doba products can be bought from this website. Products related to other APIs will be explored or bought from it's original website. When users clicks on these products they will be redirected to their original website from where it can be bought.
On the home page Doba products will be listed first then rest of products will be displayed. Apart from the shopping functionality there is an extra functionality in which user will earn points by exploring it. Points will be added on users' account, every time the user visits that product or share it on their social networking home pages. When a user a certain amount of points, they can purchase a ticket. Now, tickets needed to be matched with the system generated tickets. If digits are matched with users' ticket then they will be eligible to win a free gift.
We have learnt various functions and model to access these APIs to get the products on the website. In the admin panel products are imported into the database by using these APIs. We have also integrated the lucky draw functionality in which user's tickets get matched with system generated tickets. The main feature in lucky draw functionality is to generate tickets by two different ways. In one way tickets are generated automatically and in manual way users choose their tickets by spinning the numbers then generate it. This is very interesting functionalty available on the website. Ultimately we have delivered the project to ultimate client's satisfaction.
