Functionality Enhancement in Community Website

AVANCE-San Antonio is an organization that has been building families and community in San Antonio for the last 36 years. AVANCE has based on the premise that education begins when a child is born and that parents must be their child’s first and most important teacher.  The change AVANCE makes in today’s families dramatically impacts future generations. The purpose of the AVANCE program is to develop strong and stable families, healthy children, and promote economic self-sufficiency in families. The information users are providing us may seem personal, but that will not be identified on an individual basis.

 

To give the website a better flow and consistency, we have developed a number of pages for the site. The home page template had been shared with us, and depending on the current theme and design we have developed pages like Leadership, Donations, Programs, Get Involved, Avance Alumni, Events, Employment, About Us, Contact Us, Login etc.

 

We have worked on various types of tasks on this projects as requested by the client. We have made eight zones, namely 'Zone A', 'Zone B', 'Zone C', 'Zone D', 'Zone E', 'Zone F', 'Zone G' and 'Zone H'. These zones are basically regions where the company is active in its endeavors. These are static pages and the admin can manage the contents from his her end with ease.

 

We have implemented a contact module in the admin panel to manage contacts of users. To help it work better we have also implemented export functionality for this module so that admin/staff can download the added contact in excel sheet for further usage.

 

On the admin panel, we have developed the following modules:

Manage Content to add/edit/delete/list content for all the static pages including Home, About Us, Leadership, Donations, Programs, Get Involved and Alumni.
