Spovo is a social networking website and this was an existing one. The idea of this website is to bring business cards into life. Overall this was a well developed site, but there were some additional functionality that the client intended to have.
Spovo is a social networking site where users can create their profile to share their business contact details through online business cards. Abilities like creating profiles, posting images, commenting, sharing, creating friends, chat with friends as similar to Facebook and other social networking website are few the abilities the website brings.
Various functionalities and layout of Member's Profile page. Displaying the Facebook, Twitter, Linkdin and Google+ and Spovo feeds on member's profile page has also been made easy. Google Map API integration was also among one of the tasks.
Business Card Functionality:
We have implemented functionality to display the business card of a user in the member's profile page. In one such business card, the background image, card content (like name, address, city etc.) and user’s image have been displayed dynamically. We have also integrated a flip functionality where there is a rotate icon above the business card. Upon clicking this icon user will be able to see both the front and back side of the card. On the back of a card, we have displayed the QR Code, website logo and message. Users can scan this QR code using any mobile device which will be redirected them to the profile page of the card holder.
Mobile Widgets:
We have implemented the following widgets for mobile version:
- Member's profile page widget
- Header menus widget
- Footer menus widget
- For displaying user's picture on member's profile page
- For displaying tags on member's profile page
Google Map:
We have implemented the normal Google Map functionality on member's profile page. The functionality is now displaying a user’s image, name, city, state, phone and email on a Google bubble. Functionalities to display the directions, search by and zoom etc. are also available on the Google bubble.
After the enhancements that we have done, users can now make friends, create their business card and chat with their friends. Users could also add their external social media feed to this website and share their activities on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Google Plus. At the time of creating their business card, users can also share feed their information in the form of QR code that is printed on the back side of their business card. Visitors can also download a user's business card. Users can share their photos and videos on the site wall and their friends can write their comments.
