Pet Website in PHP for 'Hunting Dog USA' - Online Dogs Seller

Client Brief

The client told us to design and develop a website allowing breeders, hunters, dog-lovers, and organizations to unite in one easy-to-use, visually appealing platform. The client wanted to facilitate the users to search for classifieds on various things like gun dogs, gun dog breeders and hunting leases, hunting supplies etc.

Our Endeavor

Hunting Dog USA (www.huntingdogusa.com) is a website for dog lovers, who want to take their dogs for hunting. The website help users to look for hunting armors, dog breeders as well as specially trained dogs for hunting. The website is meant for two types of users, both buyers and sellers. Users can register themselves with the site. They can log in and post their ads with information and photos of their classifieds for their city and state by making the require payment.

Registered sellers/buyers can add banners, and for that they have to pay the banner subscription amount. After admin approval these banners will be displayed on the website. Use can registered as a seller by taking the subscription available in the website and will be allowed to post details like location, categories, city & breed and will be able to upload the photo of the puppy.

Other users can search for sellers of different hunting equipment, depending upon various categories. When a user inquires about any seller, the system sends an auto generated mail to the seller. Website will list different puppies added by users including all its details. The website is also having static pages and its content is managed by admin of the website.

The website categories and user registered in the website is also managed by admin. Admin can also view the payment made in the website. The website is also having integration of phpBB forum (www.phpbb.com) in which admin can post different topics. User can view the topics under the forum added by admin and post their comment against any topic.

FRONTEND:

The homepage displays the top 10 classified categories and top ads. The sidebar ads rotate itself with other ads.
Users can get registered by entering the following details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Password
- Confirm Password
- City
- State
- Zip code
- Country
Users can contact paid members using a contact form.
Notification system would inform site visitors of newest classifieds via email.
Users (basic users and paid users) would be able to post their own ads.

Basic Users:

Basic users (free users) can login and post 1 ad per year with limited information and limited photos of their classifieds.
Basic members would be able to manage statistics. They can keep track of how many people clicked their classifieds and how many contacted them using the contact form.

Paid Members:

Paid members can pay one yearly fee online via payment gateway – Credit Card/PayPal to post unlimited classified listings in their city and state only.
Paid members can post 2 videos and 10 photos and a large description of information.
Paid members would be able to post ads in any category and these ads will last for 2 months and then expire.
Paid members would be able to manage statistics. They can keep track of how many people clicked their classifieds and how many contacted them using the contact form.

Banner and Sidebar Ads:

User would be able to login and can pay subscription fees of 1 month for placing paid banner ads and sidebar ads. These banner ads would rotate on the homepage to be viewed by the users.

ADMIN PANEL:

Super admin can create login credentials for sub admin.
Sub admin would be able to manage the roles defined by the super admin.
One of the sub admin can suspend classifieds for misuse, approve and deny photos and videos.
The other sub admin would be able to add videos, news comments where applicable.
Both the admin (super admin/sub admin) manage users, subscriptions, property listings, and payments.
Admin would be able to manage the content of static informative pages and can adjust the prices of the banner adds.

"Hunting Dog USA" is a family owned business venture, & client wanted us to do something which really represents their rich culture, which is DOGS of every kind. Also their main focus was on keeping the website user friendly. So after going through every critical detail, we have created a website, which can bring DOG LOVERS & SELLER on a single platform. It's turned out to be a great success! With the end results client & we both are quite pleased.
