Client Brief

Scotia Logistics manufactures the Delivery Dropbox, a secure solution to prevent package theft and ensure safe deliveries. It allows customers to receive, store, and access their packages anytime through a connected mobile app. The client approached us to enhance their mobile app and ensure it works smoothly on the latest Android devices.

Our Endeavor

The client asked us to upgrade their mobile app so it could work smoothly on the latest Android phones. They wanted the app to stay updated, free from errors, and easy for their customers to use when accessing the Delivery Dropbox.

We upgraded the Android SDK (the main software kit used for building Android apps) to the latest version and also updated Gradle (a tool that manages app settings and libraries in the background). While doing this, some compatibility issues came up, such as features not working as expected and older functions not matching with the new Android system. Our team fixed these issues one by one to make sure everything worked properly.

After resolving the problems, our team tested the app carefully to ensure it was secure, stable, and smooth to use. Finally, we published the updated version of the app on the Google Play Store so customers could easily download and use it.

Through our work, the app is now fully upgraded to support the latest Android versions. This helps the client offer a mobile app that is compatible, secure, and performs well, so their customers can continue using it on latest Android OS.
