First launched in 1999, EnglishHall.com is the UK's premier online luxury goods store, selling a wide range of goods from some of the country's most prestigious brands. Current names include Swaine Adeney Brigg, Aquascutum, Launer London, Truefitt & Hill, Paxton & Whitfield, Charbonnel et Walker, The Crown Perfumery and more. EnglishHall.com's shopping system allows the customer to view live prices and shop in a choice of four currencies: British Pounds, US Dollars, Japanese Yen and Euro. The system makes shopping easier and eliminates the uncertainty of variable exchange rates. Foreign exchange rates are updated daily, and guaranteed by EnglishHall.com's payment provider Natwest/WorldPay. Transactions are authorized and completed on-line in real time. The client wanted us to customize certain design aspects for the website to make it more readable for the user. The client also wanted us to implement certain add-on functionalities and integrate them with the EnglishHall.com system, including user authentication, defining the order in which the products are displayed on the site, and more. Also there were several customizations for the site, including search engine optimization, modifying the look and logic for the brands, modifying the look and logic for the shopping cart and checkout pages. Other than the add-ons and customizations, the client also wanted us to fix the bugs in the present EnglishHall.com shopping and registration system.
