Development of A Zend Powered Medical Appointment Booking Website

Client Brief

The client approached us to do enhancements in his current script. The client wanted issues related to his scripts like layout, design and absolute URLs to be resolved besides developing the functionality based on the script.

Our Endeavor

Appointment script is an online medical appointment website, where the users can locate a doctor and fix a medical appointment. Users also get the confirmation for the scheduled appointment in quick time.

Working on the project, our team resolved the routing issues, absolute and hard-coded URLs related to the script's functionality. During the entire course of the project, we made  enhancements to the website layout as was required. Further, we resolved the JS/CSS related issues to enable display of data and forms on the front end. We employed ZEND PHP technology for the project and completed it within time.

Further Enhancements

Client had an existing script that users could employ for registering and scheduling an appointment with the doctor. Users had the facility to finds a doctor in their location, besides searching the doctor according to the specialty criteria. As per the new requirement, the client wanted to make the existing script for multi-profession, besides other modifications like -
 
  • Display appointment schedule in 7 days rather than 5 days
  • Manage multiple profession categories as well as sub-categories
  • Form relationship between profession category & sub-category
  • Display the appointment schedule for multiple professions
  • Display multiple professionals in search results depending on the profession selected by the user.

While working on the script, our team members modified the existing script and implemented the required functionality for multiple profession. Further, according to the profession selected, search results displayed multiple professionals. We employed Zend PHP, MySql, jQuery, Ajax to complete the project as per the new requirements.
