Machine learning is part of artificial intelligence. However, these two are not exactly interchangeable. Machine learning is tied to the idea that machines should be able to learn from data and then adapt during training. AI is used to denote a broader concept in which machines can replicate the human ability to think and perform tasks intelligently.
In reality, artificial intelligence is based on the combination of machine learning, deep learning, and other techniques to solve real problems. However, the full potential and true meaning of AI has yet to be implemented.
