Marketing & Advertising
Gaibo Influencers connects brands with Chinese, Asian, and multicultural content creators across Australia. Built for The Gaibo Agency, the platform gives brands a way to reach a fast-growing, high-spending multicultural consumer base through trusted local creators, rather than relying on traditional advertising or generic influencer platforms that don't serve this audience well.
We built the marketplace and campaign management system from the ground up, designed around how brands and influencers in this specific market actually need to work together.
Gaibo Influencers describes itself as Australia's first platform built specifically to connect brands with local multicultural influencers and content creators. Brands can run brand awareness campaigns, event promotions, or product gifting campaigns, while creators apply for opportunities and get rewarded for their work.
The platform's biggest differentiator is direct access to Asian-focused social ecosystems, WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and BiliBili, platforms that most Western influencer marketing tools don't support.
Going into the project, the priorities were clear:
The core problem was building a two-sided marketplace that worked smoothly for both brands unfamiliar with multicultural marketing and influencers active across platforms most standard tools don't support.
A few specific things needed sorting before anything else could move forward:
Gaibo needed a platform built specifically around how multicultural marketing actually works, not a generic influencer tool with a few extra integrations bolted on.
Built a portal where brands create campaign briefs, upload requirements, and review influencer applications.
Gaibo needed a platform that reflected a deep understanding of multicultural marketing, not just a marketplace with a translated interface. The build focused on keeping both sides of the marketplace, brands and influencers, simple to use despite the platform supporting a wide range of campaign types and social ecosystems.
By launch, Gaibo had a platform built specifically for a market most influencer marketing tools overlook entirely.
The platform successfully launched as a marketplace connecting brands with multicultural creators:
This implementation gave Gaibo a platform built to grow alongside Australia's expanding multicultural consumer market.
