MMS is built for merchandisers who spend their day moving between stores, not sitting at a desk. The client needed one platform that handled attendance, returns, inventory, and sales reporting, with a desktop side for admins and a mobile app for field staff who don't always have a signal.
We built both. The app works online or offline, logs attendance right at the store, and gives field coordinators what they need for RTV inspections without waiting on a backend sync.

A merchandiser's job runs on movement — store visits, stock checks, returns, sales numbers — and most of that happens away from a computer. MMS, short for Merchandiser Management System, was built to bring all of it into one platform instead of scattered across spreadsheets, phone calls, and paper logs.
The client wanted something that worked both ways: a backend admins could run operations from, and a mobile app field staff could actually use on the floor, with or without internet. That split shaped almost every decision in the build.
MMS exists to take the manual work out of merchandiser operations. RTV (Return to Vendor), CUR (Customer/User Reports), inventory, sales, attendance — all of it sits inside one system instead of being tracked in five different places by five different people.
The platform serves two very different audiences at once. Admins and coordinators need a dashboard for oversight and reporting. Merchandisers in the field need something fast, simple, and reliable enough to use standing in a store aisle. Building for both without compromising either was the real brief here.
A few things were settled before any code got written:
Building software for field staff is different from building it for someone at a desk. Connectivity isn't guaranteed, time is tighter, and the app has to work the first time, every time. A few problems needed solving up front:
We split the build into two connected pieces — a ReactJS-powered admin backend and a React Native mobile app — and made sure the two talked to each other cleanly through Laravel web services.
Built the CUR, RTV, sales, and inventory modules to function in both online and offline modes, syncing data automatically once a connection came back. Field staff in stores with patchy signal could keep working without losing data or waiting around.
The client came in with a detailed picture of how merchandiser operations actually run day to day, which made it easier to design around real field conditions instead of assumptions. We worked through both the backend and mobile experience in parallel, checking in regularly to make sure the offline functionality held up under the kind of patchy connectivity field teams actually deal with.
What we delivered reflected that — a system built around how merchandisers really work, not just how the process looks on a whiteboard.
