Shopping Cart for Selling Eco Friendly and
Reusable Grocery Bags
Client Brief
Required a Magento programmer to design theme for a Magento online store. Modification of theme, and URL rewriting was required for SEO purpose.
Our Endeavor
The project involves working on a Magento based shopping cart website for selling eco friendly and reusable grocery bags. We have implemented such functionalities so that users can browse the products on the website and shop online.
We have customized the layout/Magento theme to enhance its user-friendliness and facilitate easy browsing and purchasing of products. We have also added custom contact forms on the pages of the website to simplify online shopping.
We have worked the Sales Management tool which will be used to Manage Leeds generated form the website. The admin can create sales representative account with limited features. Sales representative will able to login into site and manage Leeds assigned to them, will follow up/communicate with customer for their specific requirement and can generate quotes sending them pdf catalogue with custom price in them.
Once customer confirms any quote, they can place an order on the site. If any particular Sales Representative is not able to produce results then in case Leed will be unassigned from that Sales Representative and admin can assign that Leed to some other Sales Representative.
We have enhanced the look and feel of this Magento site and have created configurable products as well. We have created a request distribution module for sales representative and tweaked the modules of the site to comply with the latest version of Magento.
The module allows the admin to control assignments of requests collected from the website to sales representatives. For every request that comes from the website a customer is automatically created for tracking sales, conversion etc. In case a quote is not converted the sales representatives are automatically unassigned from the order.
Furthermore, the client approached us to make a few changes to the website. Working on the modifications, we did following -
- Updated the backend of Magento to allow editing the Overseas Options in the PDF Catalogs
- Added “Overseas Production” dropdown to be selected when creating or editing existing product so that the appropriate bullet points are generated in PDF
- Store the email addresses from our quote requests in our Constant Contact account.
- Enhanced the look & feel of the website
- Created configurable products and created a request distribution module for the sales representative
- Enhancements to the site modules to comply with the latest version of Magento
