Maintenance of Magento Powered Website for Paving Products

Client Brief

Paving Shop approached us for the maintenance and enhancement of their Magento-based eCommerce website. The project involved design changes, integration of new modules, creation of custom extensions, and modification of Magento’s core functionality. The aim was to improve the store’s overall performance and make it more user-friendly for online shoppers.

Our Endeavor

The client’s eCommerce store, Paving Shop, was already built on Magento and offered a wide selection of paving materials including Clay, Basalt, Concrete, and Granite paving. Since this was a maintenance-based assignment, our primary focus was to strengthen the site’s overall performance and improve operational efficiency. We started by analyzing the existing setup and identifying areas that needed enhancements in both functionality and design.

Our team created and integrated a custom Calculator feature that allows users to get automatic product quantity calculations based on the size and area entered. This functionality helped make product selection simpler and improved the overall shopping experience. Alongside this, we worked on refining the interface to make navigation smoother and the layout more consistent across all pages.

We also developed a Shipping Extension that allows the admin to manage shipping prices according to product weight and delivery destination. This gave the store greater flexibility in managing different shipping scenarios and pricing structures. To make the platform more efficient, we customized certain Magento core features, enabling the purchase of related products as bundled sets to increase convenience for the buyers.

Lastly, we focused on improving website performance by applying effective optimization methods to reduce loading time and enhance responsiveness. These updates not only improved customer satisfaction but also helped the store operate more efficiently, giving users a smoother browsing experience throughout the website.
