Integrating User Registration System in an Existing Site

Client Brief

Guest Nest approached us with a requirement to build a dedicated user registration section on the front end of their existing website. The platform serves as a space for renters and tenants, allowing both parties to connect for property listings and rentals. The client wanted a simple, smooth registration process where users could easily sign up and manage their profiles. Additionally, they needed admin control to monitor and approve new user accounts. The overall goal was to make the registration and property management process more organized and user-friendly.

Our Endeavor

Guest Nest is a room rental community that connects professional guests and hosts looking to rent or offer space. Our team developed a complete user registration system using CakePHP and Ajax/jQuery to make the process efficient and interactive. Every time a user registers, both the user and admin receive an automated email notification, allowing the admin to review and approve each new account directly through the admin panel.

We focused on creating a clear and easy workflow where users could register, log in, and start managing their profiles without confusion. The design was kept simple to help users quickly understand how to proceed through registration and access their dashboards. This approach not only improved usability but also maintained consistency with the existing structure of the website.

The admin section was built to offer better control over user activities. Admins can view all registered users, approve or reject profiles, and maintain the platform’s authenticity. This feature gives the site owner full control over who can list or rent properties, helping maintain a trusted and well-managed community.

Once registered and approved, users can log in to their respective dashboards. From there, they can manage property listings, make updates, or view available rental options depending on their registration type, whether as a guest or host. This organized setup streamlines the process and helps users navigate their options easily.

Our team made sure that both the technical and functional aspects of the project worked smoothly within the existing system. With the new registration and dashboard features, Guest Nest became more interactive and easier to manage for both users and the admin, enhancing the overall platform experience.
